I just finished building a home with L&L and the process has been amazing. I have previously built under a different company and had an unpleasant experience so I was familiar with the process going in and can’t say enough how seamless it has been. The communication with the L&L is what really stands out. They are upfront in the process and walk through everything step by step. They line item every cost on the front end so there are no surprises throughout the building process. There is a trust factor in building a custom home and with L&L you get that. L&L has great relationships with their contractors which really helps in meeting timelines. Their team works really well together and there are never excuses just solutions. With any business you get what you pay for and I am truly pleased with every aspect of my building process. The follow up after the closing has been just as good as it was to start the process. There is no question I would build with L&L again. I have a lot of respect for businesses that operate the way they do.

Hands down the best builder you can hire. Worth every penny! We had remodeled our prior house top to bottom so I had experience with many contractors and knew what a headache—if not nightmare—it could be and I was very wary of building a custom home. But despite being insanely busy (finishing a PhD, raising kids, running a business) they made it easy to be involved in every step without undue stress. L&L has the system down—Kent oversees every detail. Joel keeps a TIGHT ship at the construction site. Eric communicates constantly. If we had a question, they were immediately responsive, and we learned early on that if we had a concern they were almost always addressing it before we asked. Their subcontractors are phenomenal. Everything is overseen with complete precision and with integrity. The quality of their work always exceeded our high expectations. Any issues we had later (e.g., we built during covid and some of the hardware was not manufactured properly) were immediately and completely addressed. If we ever build again, there is no question—we are building with L&L!

We just completed a remodel of our homes main floor. We took it down to the studs and started from scratch. The thing we loved about L&L was that Eric and Joel would provide great insight during the design and selection process. However, you’ll need to be patient. L&L won’t settle for anything less than the best with all of their subcontractors. As a result, you may have to wait for the subs to finish a job prior to working on yours. Eric was completely transparent with his billing and provided supporting documentation on each monthly invoice. L&L is not going to be the cheapest but the craftsmanship on our project was second to none. Eric and Joel are honest, forthright and conduct themselves with an industry setting level of integrity. We highly recommend L&L and plan on using them on our next project.

Our home was mostly destroyed by the April 2024 tornado. We initially had a contractor who resigned 7 weeks into the job due to the complex nature of rebuilding our home. A well-known commercial contractor directed us to L&L. L&L turned out to be an excellent recommendation! Eric & Joel provided great insight and experience in the redesigning of several aspects of our home that exceeded our expectations. We would definitely recommend L&L for any custom home construction.
